The Alps’ most beloved little train is back with its classic route, the special ‘Train with lunch at high altitude’ package at a reduced price, and free travel for children.
By popular demand, the Bardo Express is returning to Bardonecchia this summer – the legendary colourful little train that transforms a simple day at high altitude into an unforgettable adventure for young and old alike. The service will run from 18 July to 22 August 2026.
The Bardo Express will take residents and tourists on a journey to discover the most beautiful corners of our Alpine valley. A family-friendly experience, where the journey itself becomes a game and a moment of pure wonder for children, ready to wave to the mountains from the windows.
The route
To ensure we don’t disappoint our many loyal fans, the Bardo Express will follow exactly the same route as last year. Stops will cover the key locations in the village and its hamlets, guaranteeing a convenient, scenic journey that’s completely stress-free for parents.
The magic formula: a little train ride with lunch at altitude and a chairlift ride!
Once again this season, summer’s most mouth-watering collaboration is back. The special ‘Mini-train with Lunch at Chesal 1805’ package has been confirmed: a combined offer that brings together the journey with a special lunch in the heart of Melezet, on the splendid terrace of Chesal 1805.
A fantastic special offer to enjoy the best of mountain cuisine, with a chairlift ride included.
- Online exclusive: this package is available exclusively from our webshop. Places are limited, so we recommend booking well in advance!
- The Bardo Express is a celebration that welcomes absolutely everyone, including our youngest travellers: that’s why all children under 4 travel for free!
