From 25 July to 23 August 2026, the resort will welcome hikers and cyclists along historic trails offering breathtaking views. The “Bar La Telecabina”, with its splendid panoramic terrace, will also be open.
The great beauty of the high mountains is once again within easy reach. On Saturday 25 July 2026, the Jafferau cable car – Bardonecchia’s key facility – will officially reopen and will operate daily until Sunday 23 August 2026. This is wonderful news for all mountain lovers: the cable car allows you to quickly overcome the initial climb and provides free access to an incredible network of trails to explore on foot or by mountain bike, perfect both for families seeking relaxation and for sports enthusiasts in search of adventure.
Once you reach the summit, there are countless opportunities for exploration. From the top of the lift, you can set off along the famous, flat Decauville path – a scenic route accessible to all that winds its way across the mountain slopes, leading straight to the wild Rochemolles Valley. For those who love combining sport with history, the road leading to Fort Foens opens up a network of legendary trails. From here, you can reach the spectacular suspended trails of Seguret and Pramand, venture towards the historic Saracen Tunnels, or climb to the summit of Jafferau. There’s also the route to Valfredda, a marvellous natural amphitheatre of green pastures and imposing peaks.
To make the experience even more enjoyable, Bar La Telecabina will be open, situated right at the top station of the cable car. The bar will be the ideal spot for a refreshing break during your hikes, offering the chance to enjoy excellent lunches right on its splendid panoramic terrace. For those who prefer to continue their adventure without stopping, the bar will also offer a handy takeaway service, perfect for organising a lovely picnic along the trails.
