Bardonecchia is strengthening its role as a benchmark for competitive skiing with the creation of a new slope dedicated to training for national and international teams. This strategic project confirms the resort's sporting vocation and its commitment to supporting high-level competitive activity.
One of the most eagerly awaited new features of the season is the new “Bardo.Race Stadium” training facility, a completely redesigned area specially equipped to host training sessions for clubs, committees and competitive teams. The facility has been designed to meet the standards required by national and international federations, guaranteeing the quality of the slopes, safety and dedicated services for athletes and technical staff.
The track runs from an altitude of 2,150 metres to 1,800 metres, with a total length of 1,450 metres, a vertical drop of 350 metres and an average width of 40 metres. At the same time, a brand new snowmaking system has been created for the slope, equipped with 26 generators (6 towers and 20 poles) that allow for record snowmaking in just 50 hours of work with significant energy savings.
The stadium will be available for the entire winter season, offering continuous use and optimal conditions for sports training. This new space represents an important growth opportunity for the local skiing movement and will help increase Bardonecchia's visibility on the international sports scene, attracting teams, events and new collaborations.
With the Bardo.Race Stadium, Bardonecchia consolidates its identity as a destination of excellence for competitive skiing, combining its tourist offering with a concrete investment in sport and young talent.
