With the arrival of the warmer months, the village of Bardonecchia is preparing to reopen its outdoor resort. The 2026 summer season will officially kick off in June, with the first openings taking place at weekends and on public holidays, before getting into full swing from 27 June until 6 September, when activities and facilities will be available every day.
Summer in Bardonecchia is designed for those who want to experience the mountains to the full. The beating heart of the activities will once again be Campo Smith, the starting point for defying gravity on the suspended courses of the Adventure Park or testing your skills on the climbing wall, ideal for both beginners and those looking to enjoy a wonderful day in the open air. For those seeking a bit of adrenaline, the Alpine Coaster is back – the rail-based toboggan that whizzes through the woods, bringing smiles to young and old alike. Cycling enthusiasts will find their paradise in the Bike Park, with unique trails for downhill and freeride, featuring kilometres of paths winding through exceptional alpine scenery. Bardonecchia isn’t just about speed: it’s also a haven of relaxation to be savoured slowly, step by step, amidst fantastic Alpine scenery, immersing yourself in the greenery of the Turin Alps.
Thanks to the opening of the Campo Smith and Melezet chairlifts, which are equipped to carry mountain bikes, the mountains are now accessible to everyone. Getting up to high altitudes has never been easier: in just a few minutes you can reach the peaks to breathe in the fresh air, set off on scenic hikes or simply enjoy a gourmet break. The Pian del Sole and Chesal 1805 mountain huts are ready to welcome visitors with the finest local cuisine, offering the unique opportunity to enjoy lunch with a view of the Alps, surrounded by the silence and beauty of the ridges.
Whether it’s for a breathtaking descent by bike – you can hire mountain bikes and e-bikes directly on site – or for a moment of tranquillity over a traditional dish at a mountain hut, Bardonecchia once again proves itself the ideal destination for a summer filled with freedom and nature.
