The Inauguration of the Bardo Race Stadium in Melezet
The highlight of the day was the official inauguration of the Bardo Race Stadium. Present at the ceremony, the Mayor of Bardonecchia, Chiara Rossetti, expressed great satisfaction at the completion of this strategic project for the area:
“The opening of the Bardo Race Stadium represents a vital investment in the future of our sport and our community,” said the Mayor. “This facility is not just a technical achievement, but a symbol of our commitment to providing athletes and young people with a world-class venue in which to develop and compete. Bardonecchia has once again proven itself to be a skiing capital capable of innovating and hosting major events to international standards.”
Snow in impeccable condition
In addition to the competitive spirit, the conditions in the ski area made for a perfect day. Despite the season drawing to a close, the snow in Bardonecchia remains in excellent condition, with a perfectly compact surface and slopes meticulously groomed by the technical staff. The quality of the snow allowed the athletes to push themselves to the limit in complete safety, treating all the fans in attendance to an unforgettable spectacle.
With the conclusion of this race and the opening of the new stadium, Bardonecchia is relaunching its challenge for the season finale. The invitation to enjoy the slopes, which are still in optimal condition, and a skiing Easter, is extended to all skiers: the winter season is scheduled to close on 12 April.
