BARDONECCHIA – SESTRIERE, March 2026 – When Piedmont’s major ski resorts join forces, the future of skiing is the real winner. On Saturday 21 March 2026, the now well-established partnership between the two ski resorts will take shape in the first Vialattea//Bardo.Cup, an exclusive challenge dedicated to young talent that officially marks a new season of collaboration and high-altitude competition.
A challenge for the most deserving
The competition is open to athletes who are registered members of FISI, belonging to the Baby, Cuccioli, Ragazzi, Allievi and Giovani categories (both male and female) and who are members of a ski club in Bardonecchia or the Vialattea area. Each club will select the two most deserving athletes per category, lining up the future stars of the snow in our region at the starting gate.
For this first edition, the goal is ambitious: the winner of each category will be awarded the Vialattea//Bardo Seasonal Ski Pass 2026/2027, a prize that seals the commercial and sporting partnership between the two destinations.
Inauguration of the Bardo.Race Stadium
The race will serve as the official occasion to inaugurate the Bardo. Race Stadium, the new flagship facility of Bardonecchia Ski dedicated to high-level competitive skiing. Designed to host training sessions for national and international teams, the stadium offers outstanding technical features:
Sviluppo Tecnico: La pista si estende da una quota di 2.150 metri fino a 1.800 metri.
Dimensioni: Una lunghezza complessiva di 1.450 metri con un dislivello di 350 metri e una larghezza media di 40 metri.
Innevamento d’avanguardia: Un impianto dedicato con 26 generatori di ultima generazione assicura una tenuta del fondo perfetta per tutta la stagione.
Qualità approvata: Il tracciato è stato già testato da atleti di Coppa del Mondo, che ne hanno apprezzato le variazioni di pendenza e la tecnicità del percorso.
Un’alleanza strategica
La prima edizione della Vialattea//Bardo.Cup rappresenta un passo fondamentale nella sinergia tra i due comprensori per potenziare l’offerta sportiva e turistica della Regione. Un’unione che non si esaurisce in un singolo evento. La manifestazione verrà, infatti, replicata i prossimi anni con la formula della combinata: una gara sulle piste della Vialattea ed una gara sulle piste di Bardonecchia, consolidando un format che celebra l’integrazione territoriale attraverso lo sci di alto livello.
